A massive earthquake shook building as people rushed out of their homes in New Delhi, Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir and other parts of north India on Monday.

The earthquake was witnessed in regions ranging from Pakistan to Jammu and Kashmir to Punjab and Uttar Pradesh.
Tremors were also felt in Katra, Vaishno Devi creating panic in pilgrims.
Delhi metro was even stopped for few minutes following quake reporting.
Last time a medium-intensity earthquake measuring 3.0 magnitude was measured on the Richter scale which hit the national capital on October 10.
Last time epicentre of the earthquake was located in Delhi-NCR and the depth of the tremor was 5 km.
The tremor was felt at 1.40 AM across Delhi and its adjoining areas. However, there were no reports of loss of lives and damage to property.
