The Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, was established in 1948 for post graduate courses. A graduate wing for MBBS course was started in AFMC on 04 Aug 1962 with the aim of inducting medical graduates to the Armed Forces Medical Services.
The AFMC is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik and is recognized by the Medical Council of India.

AFMC MBBS 2018 Eligibility Criteria
✓ Candidates should be citizen of India
✓ Applicants must have passed 10 + 2 or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology
✓ They should be medically fit as per prescribed standards by the Government of India, Ministry of Defence
✓ There will be two categories for age criteria depending on academic qualifications:-
(I) 10+2 or equivalent - Should attain the age of 17 years on December 31, 2018 but must not have attained the age of 22 years on that date i.e. must have been born not earlier than January 01, 1994 and not later than December 31, 1998
(II) Passed B.Sc examination or appearing in Final B.Sc. examination - Must not have attained the age of 24 years i.e. must have been born not earlier than January 01, 1992
Applicants must be unmarried and marrying during the AFMC MBBS course is not permitted
AFMC MBBS/PMT Selection Process 2018
Eligible candidates who are interested to join AFMC Pune, to pursue the MBBS course will have to mandatorily appear for the AIPMT - 2018 examination to be conducted by CBSE and should have ticked on the option for AFMC and also apply online to AFMC Pune on the websites mentioned in para 17 below. The AIPMT - 2018 Roll number starting with 8, is an eight digit number and is essential for being recognized for admission to AFMC Pune and shall be required at all stages of admission process. BE CAREFUL NOT TO ENTER REGISTRATION NUMBER OF AIPMT- 2018.
Candidates who are appearing in the AIPMT - 2018 examination will have to register and apply online to AFMC Pune on the website http://www.afmc.nic.in OR http://www.afmcdg1d.gov.in with the AIPMT - 2018 Roll number.
On declaration of the AIPMT-2018 results by CBSE, AFMC Pune shall draw merit from amongst the candidates who have applied to AFMC Pune and also appeared for the AIPMT - 2018 examination.
The online registration numbers of the candidates who are shortlisted for interview based on merit will be displayed on the website. They will also be intimated on their registered E – Mail ID and will find the call letters for the interview once they log into their account. The college / DGAFMS however takes no responsibility for any delay, error or omission in the registration numbers published in the newspapers.
AFMC MBBS 2018 Application Procedure
AFMC MBBS 2018 admission form will be available soon. The last date registering for online AFMC MBBS 2018 application form is May 13, 2018. Candidates who wish to apply for AFMC MBBS 2018 must register themselves online in the prescribed format from the below link before the closing date. The last date of filling online AFMC MBBS 2018 application is May 17, 2018. The cost of AFMC MBBS 2018 application form is Rs. 250 which can be paid through SBI Bank Challan.
